Email Marketing: The Key to Business Growth
Let’s chat about why email marketing is so important for any business. I know, I know – you probably get a ton of emails every day, so it can be tempting to dismiss email marketing as just another form of spam. But the truth is, email marketing can be a really powerful way to communicate with your audience and grow your business.

Lets Talk Key Benefits of Email Marketing
- One of the biggest benefits of email marketing is that it allows you to connect with your customers directly. Unlike social media or other forms of advertising, email marketing gives you complete control over your message and who receives it. By building an email list of interested subscribers, you can make sure your message is being heard by the right people.
- When you have an email list, your subscribers are YOURS! Having a large social media following is all well and great, but what happens if social media went away? You would lose all access to your followers!
- Another great thing about email marketing is that it helps you build relationships with your customers. When someone signs up for your email list, they’re essentially giving you permission to communicate with them on a regular basis. By sending them valuable content and offers that they’re interested in. Then you can keep them engaged and build a sense of trust and loyalty.
- And the best part? Email marketing is really cost-effective. Unlike traditional forms of advertising like print, TV, or even social media ads, email marketing can be done for a fraction of the cost. This means that even if you’re working with a tight marketing budget, you can still use email marketing to reach your audience and grow your business.
But is it Worth the Money Even if You Only Have a Small Business?
That’s a great question, I’m glad you asked 😉. I get it, email marketing can be cheap, but when you’re trying to get your business off the ground it can be really hard to justify even the smallest money spent. Especially if you have a smaller client-base or customer-base. Is it actually necessary and how effective is it really?… well, just because email marketing is cheap doesn’t mean it’s ineffective. By doing a quick google search and looking at several sources that popped up, I concluded that email marketing has been shown to have an average return on investment (ROI) of anywhere from 36 to 40:1. That means for every dollar you spend on email marketing, you can expect to see $36 to $40 in revenue. Not too shabby, right?
A Little Testimony About the Power of Email Marketing
I know a few women this has happened to, and it was ultimately the deciding factor that made me begin my email marketing journey, even with a newborn business.
A woman I know of had a rather large following on social media. Long story short, something happened to her social media and her account was either hacked or shut down. She tried everything to get it back, but it was gone. With a rather large following, you can imagine how devastating this was. Social Media can take years to grow. Luckily, she also had a very well established and flourishing email list. The woman then began sending emails about what had happened to her social media account and then shared her new account and asked her subscribers to please follow her new account and to share her page to help spread the word, so that her followers might find her again.
Conclusion:
Well let me tell you… Within a few weeks, she not only gained back her entire following, but she gained several hundreds more! This is the power of email marketing.
I don’t need to tell you how this could cripple an entire business that is built based entirely around social media. Social media platforms do not belong to us, friend. If you read the terms of use of any social media platform, this will tell you that said social media platform and its users are owned by that platform.
We need to establish our own way of having direct contact with our people.
How Can You Make the Most of Email Marketing for Your Business? Here are a Few Tips:
- Focus on building a quality email list. It’s not just about getting as many people on your list as possible – you want to make sure you’re attracting people who are genuinely interested in what you have to offer.
- Provide value to your subscribers. Don’t just use email marketing as an excuse to push your products or services – make sure you’re sending valuable content that your subscribers will actually want to read. Nurture before sales. (More coming on this)
- Personalize your emails. Use data to personalize your emails and make them more relevant to your subscribers. A little personalization can go a long way in making your subscribers feel seen and valued.
- Test and refine your email campaigns over time. Pay attention to what’s working and what’s not, and use that data to improve your messaging and get better results from your email marketing efforts.
How Do I choose The Right Email Platform to Use?
When it comes to choosing the right platform, there are plenty of options out there. But if you’re looking for an affordable, user-friendly option that can help you create stunning email campaigns, then Flodesk is definitely worth checking out.
One of the great things about Flodesk is that it’s designed with creatives in mind. Their templates are beautiful, modern, and easy to customize, so you can create emails that really stand out in your subscribers’ inboxes. Plus, the platform is incredibly user-friendly, even if you don’t have a ton of experience with email marketing.
There is also the fact that Flodesk does not have a cap on the amount of subscribers like a lot of other platforms out there have. That is a huge bonus that some of my clients look for.
Perhaps the biggest advantage of Flodesk is its pricing. Unlike other email marketing platforms that charge you based on how many subscribers you have, or how many emails you send, Flodesk charges a flat fee of just $38 per month. That means you can send unlimited emails to an unlimited number of subscribers for one low price. Plus, They now have a check-out feature for an added monthly fee, making setting up a cart and checkout flow work seamlessly with your emails!
Affiliate Link Offer
If you’re ready to take your emails to the next level with Flodesk, you can use my affiliate link and will get 50% off your subscription for the first year, which just makes Flodesk an even more affordable option.
