Batching Content for Pinterest
Batching content is the process of creating multiple pieces of content at one time, rather than creating content sporadically throughout the week or month. It can be a huge time-saving technique and can help you stay organized and focused. I use this method with all of my clients and also encourage them to do the same. The clients that follow a batching schedule have found it to be so helpful in staying on top of all their content. Here are some tips for batching content for Pinterest:
- Pick a key topic for the month or for each week, and then build your daily content around that topic.
- Plan Ahead: Before you start creating content, it’s important to have a plan. Create a content calendar to help you stay organized and ensure that you’re posting content that aligns with your goals. You can use tools like Trello or Asana to create a content calendar. I use Asana and I love it. I’ve also included an editable content calendar below that you can use!
- Create Multiple Pins: Pinterest rewards accounts that post fresh, high-quality content regularly. When you’re batching content, aim to create at least five to ten pins for each blog post or product you’re promoting, (3-5 if you’re just starting out). This will give you a backlog of content to post over time, helping you maintain a consistent presence on Pinterest.
- Use Templates: Creating templates for your pins can help you save time and ensure consistency in your branding. There are several tools available, such as Canva and Adobe Spark, that offer pre-made templates that you can customize to fit your brand. I’ve included a few FREE templates below!
- Repurpose Content: You don’t always have to create new content from scratch. You can repurpose existing content, such as blog posts, into pins. This can help you save time while still providing your audience with valuable content.
Batch Scheduling for Pinterest
Batch scheduling is the process of scheduling multiple pieces of content in advance, rather than posting content manually throughout the week or month. It can also help you save time, reduce stress, and ensure that your content is being posted at optimal times. Again, I do this with all of my clients, especially when it comes to Pinterest. Here are some tips for batch scheduling for Pinterest:
Use a Scheduling Tool: Pinterest offers its own scheduling tool which is easy to use, but you can only schedule a few weeks out. There are several third-party tools available that offer more features and functionality. Some popular tools include *Tailwind, Buffer, Hootsuite, and Later. Note: I have only ever used Tailwind, which has a completely free (but limited) version. However, these are the other options out there. These tools allow you to schedule multiple pins in advance and provide analytics to help you optimize your content strategy. Tailwind also has an AI that will write titles and descriptions, which helps speed up the process even more.
Schedule Pins at Optimal Times: The best time to post on Pinterest varies depending on your audience and niche. However, I find that for most, the best times to post on Pinterest are between 8pm and 11pm on weekdays and on Saturdays. Use analytics tools to determine the optimal times to post for your audience.
Mix Evergreen and Fresh Content: Evergreen content is content that remains relevant and valuable over time, while fresh content is new and timely. When scheduling content, aim to mix evergreen and fresh content to provide your audience with a variety of content.
Monitor and Adjust: Batch scheduling is not a set-it-and-forget-it strategy. It’s important to monitor your analytics regularly and adjust your strategy as needed. If certain types of content or posting times are performing better than others, adjust your strategy accordingly.
Why Batch Create & Batch Schedule?
Batching content and batch scheduling are powerful strategies that can help you save time, reduce stress, and maintain a consistent presence on Pinterest. By planning ahead, creating templates, repurposing content, and using scheduling tools, you can streamline your content creation process and ensure that your content is being posted at the right times. This strategy is something that I honestly swear by. With these tips, you’ll be well on your way to getting your Pinterest flow rocking!
